New NDEB By-laws: What You Need to Know

The updated NDEB By-laws came into effect on July 1, 2026, and include important responsibilities for candidates. An important change is the addition of an Ineligibility and Misrepresentation clause. This clause emphasizes the need for you to meet eligibility requirements and act honestly throughout the Certification or Equivalency Process. The consequences for any form of misrepresentation can be severe.

What is misrepresentation?
Misrepresentation means giving the NDEB information that is false, misleading, inaccurate, or incomplete. It can happen on purpose or by mistake. It includes sending incorrect documents, leaving out information the NDEB asks for, using tools or help that are not allowed, or breaking exam rules. Misrepresentation can lead to serious consequences, like becoming ineligible to take further examinations.
Examples of breaches
- Use of automated systems
Using automated systems, such as bots, to access NDEB systems or complete NDEB-related steps violates the NDEB Terms and Conditions.
- Password sharing
Sharing an NDEBConnect password gives another person access to your account. It puts personal information at risk and violates the NDEB Terms and Conditions.
- Copyright and exam security
Using, copying, sharing, or distributing NDEB content, including examination content, for any purpose other than personal use violates the NDEB Terms and Conditions and Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure agreement.
- False information
Providing false or inaccurate information or documentation such as transcripts or identity documents during any stage of the NDEB Certification or Equivalency Process.
