If, during an examination, you experience an unforeseen exceptional circumstance beyond your control that prevented you from demonstrating your abilities may submit a compassionate appeal.
Many examinees experience anxiety prior and during an examination. This is normal. Exam anxiety does not lead to a test accommodation or compassionate appeal. Anxiety must be a diagnosed disorder to warrant accommodation or a compassionate appeal.
NDEB examinations are conducted according to the relevant examination protocol. The NDEB has processes in place to address issues related to the delivery of the examination, exam materials, equipment, and the examination site. If any such issue occurs, it must be reported to onsite staff so it can be resolved appropriately.
In some cases, a candidate may experience an irregularity or inconsistency in the administration of an examination that was not addressed appropriately, and that they feel may have prevented them from demonstrating their ability on the subject matter of the examination.
In these cases, an appeal of the conduct of an examination allows for a review of the candidate’s exam day experience to determine whether the irregularity or inconsistency reported impacted their performance.

A verification of scores for the NDECC is a verification of the grade calculations for each situational judgement station and each clinical skills requirement. This process is unlikely to change your final grade as all failing results have already been verified. The verification does not involve a re-evaluation of your typodont and situational judgement stations.
