Exam Security

It is your responsibility to know and follow NDEB exam rules. Before exam day, review the exam protocol, understand what is allowed, and keep all exam content confidential. Breaking the rules can lead to serious consequences.

Prohibited Actions

We consider exam security essential to the fairness and integrity of our exams. Exam regulations, including rules about what you can and cannot bring into the test area, protect exam content and administration. Breaching these rules is considered a prohibited action.

Confidentiality

You play an important role in exam security. Every candidate must agree to maintain the confidentiality and security of all exam materials, including exam questions. Before taking an exam, you must sign a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement. The agreement prohibits you from discussing or sharing exam questions or details in any way, before, during, or after the exam.

Breaches

Breaching exam rules, regulations, or confidentiality requirements can lead to one or more of the following penalties:

• suspending or terminating access to the registration system;
• cancelling an exam registration;
• suspending eligibility to register for an exam until on or after a specified date;
• voiding exam results;
• awarding a grade of zero or fail for any or all questions or requirements on an exam;
• prohibiting the candidate from taking exams in the future;
• taking legal action against any person involved in compromising exam security; or
• other sanctions considered appropriate in the circumstances.
