Pathway for graduates of international non-accredited specialty programs
If your education is from an institution that is not accredited in Canada, then you will need to begin by taking a Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Program (DSATP) through one of the Faculties of Dentistry in Canada. Please note, not all Faculties in Canada offer programs in the dental specialties.
This pathway is for you if:
- You hold a masters degree in a dental specialty from a university that is authorized by the government of that country in which it is located to issue such degrees,
- Your dental specialty is recognized in Canada, and
- Your degree is not recognized by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC).
You can find a list of the Canadian Faculties of Dentistry and their contact information here.
