Several facilities used by the NDEB to run examinations have vaccine requirements that will apply to all examinees. Therefore, you will have to be vaccinated to write examinations at these centers. If you register to write an examination at a centre where vaccination is required, you must be prepared to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 when you arrive at your test centre.
The Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge (AFK) will be administered electronically at Prometric testing centres in Canada. The AFK will also be offered at select international locations including the United States (California, New York, Massachusetts), Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
The AFK will be offered in paper and pencil format at locations in Ontario and Quebec.
When registering for an AFK, you will select your delivery method based on availability. The electronic version will include “Prometric” in the exam title (ex: Toronto, ON – Prometric).
The ACJ will be administered electronically at Prometric testing centres.
Seats for the ACJ are limited and registration fills up quickly. An additional block of seats has become available for the November 2021 ACJ. Registration opened on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 9:00 EST.
Leading up to the registration deadline date, examinees do withdraw. Any seats that become available because of withdrawals will be available for new registrants.
The ACS is administered at Canadian Faculties of Dentistry.
