The NDEB Welcomes New Director of Examinations
The National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) is pleased to announce that Dr. Caroline Tram Nguyen will be joining the NDEB as Director of Examinations. Caroline has played an important role in the development of the NDEBs new certification examination, said Dr. Dagenais, NDEB Executive Director and Registrar, and she will now assume a key role in the NDEBs latest endeavour, the National Dental Specialty Examination.
Dr. Nguyen has been involved with the NDEB as an examiner for several years. Dr. Nguyens involvement in organized dentistry extends beyond the NDEB to several other professional organizations including the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, of which she was President from 2016 to 2018, the Canadian Dental Specialties Association, the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Nguyen holds a DMD from the Université de Montréal, a Master of Sciences and prosthodontics from the University of Maryland, and a maxillofacial prosthodontics fellowship from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She has been a professor at the University of British Columbia since 2010 and will continue to have a hospital practice in Ottawa.
