La dentisterie pédiatrique est cette discipline et spécialité de la médecine dentaire qui dispense des services spécialisés primaires et complets de consultation, de diagnostic et de soins buccodentaires préventifs et curatifs destinés aux enfants, de la petite enfance à l’adolescence, y compris aux personnes de tous âges ayant des besoins particuliers.

L’ENSD en dentisterie pédiatrique a pour but d’évaluer les connaissances théoriques et cliniques d’un dentiste spécialiste en dentisterie pédiatrique. Les spécialistes en dentisterie pédiatrique canadiens doivent posséder de vastes connaissances et habiletés dans quatorze domaines. Vous trouverez le plan directeur dans le protocole d'examen.

Format

L’examen consiste en deux parties de trois heures chacune. Le format de l’examen consiste en un mélange de questions indépendantes à réponses brèves et longues qui évaluent les connaissances et leur application et des questions basées sur des cas qui évaluent les aptitudes en diagnostic et en prise de décisions cliniques.
