April is Oral Health Month and this year's theme focusses on replacing sugary drinks with water as your drink of choice. Sugar is one of the main causes of dental problems and sugary drinks are a major source of sugar intake for pre-teens and teens. Consuming sugary drinks increases the risk of cavities for children, obesity and type 2 diabetes for everyone. Choosing water helps keep you hydrated without all the other additives and helps your body eliminate waste.
