As requested by the Canadian Dental Regulatory Authorities Federation, during the 2014 NDEB Annual Meeting, the Board approved changes to the format of the Dental Specialty Core Knowledge Examination (DSCKE) for graduates of non-accredited dental specialty programs.
Starting in 2015, the DSCKE will be administered in a half-day session. The content will focus on core dental knowledge and literature appraisal skills. Changing the format of the DSCKE has enabled the NDEB to lower fees for participants, and to offer the Examination twice a year. Beginning in 2016, the DSCKE will be administered annually in February and September.
Additional information about the format and content of the DSCKE can be found in the DSCKE Protocol.
