The NDEB has made the decision to cancel the December 2020 Assessment of Clinical Skills (ACS).
The safety of all those involved in the NDEB examination process: participants, staff, and examiners, is a priority for the NDEB. In the last few weeks, the NDEB has watched the number of positive COVID-19 cases rise across the country and has seen provinces introduce new measures to help slow the spread of the coronavirus. The ongoing uncertainty surrounding the pandemic coupled with travel restrictions and the availability of facilities to host the examination has made it evident that we cannot offer the ACS this December.
We understand the significant impact this decision will have on the hundreds of people who have been waiting to take this examination since June.
The NDEB will continue to work diligently to deliver examinations during the COVID-19 pandemic and expects to be able to resume regularly scheduled ACS examinations in 2021.
