On October 20, 2018 Dr. Dennis Fuchs of Yorkton, Saskatchewan was elected President of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) at the Annual Meeting. Dr. Fuchs succeeds Dr. Doug Mackey who held the role of President for the past two years.<\/p>\n
A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry Class of 89, Dr. Fuchs has been involved in organized dentistry for most of his career. He has served on various Canadian Dental Association committees as
well as College of Dental Surgeon of Saskatchewan committees. Dr Fuchs is a Past President of the College of
Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan as well as the International College of Dentists Canadian section. \u0093In addition to
his extensive experience in organized dentistry, Dr. Fuchs brings to his new role a collegiality and collaborative spirit that will serve the organization well\u0094 said Dr. Mackey.<\/p>\n
Dr. Fuchs joined the NDEB as the representative from the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan in 2009. Since that time, he has served the Board in various capacities including most recently as Vice President\/Treasurer from 2016-2018, and as Assistant Chief Examiners for the Assessment of Clinical Skills. \u0093We have been exceptionally lucky to have Dr. Fuchs as a member of the Board for the past nine years,\u0094 said Dr. Marie Dagenais, Executive Director and Registrar. \u0093He is committed to supporting the NDEBs mandate and values and demonstrates this throughout his activities with the Board.\u0094<\/p>\n
