Our role in the profession<\/h2>\n

Created by an Act of Parliament, the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) has been given the mandate to establish a single national standard for general dentists in Canada and to develop and administer examinations to confirm individuals who apply for registration as dentists have met the national standard.<\/p>\n

The NDEB works in collaboration with the Canadian Faculties of Dentistry, the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada, and the provincial Dental Regulatory Authorities to support quality dental care in Canada.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”grid” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” z_index=”” el_class=”container-1180″][vc_column]

NDEB Board<\/h2>The NDEB Board is composed of 12 members. Each provincial dental regulatory authority appoints one member and two members are appointed by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC). There is also a public representative appointed to the Board. The Board meets annually.<\/div>

2025-2029 Strategic Priorities<\/h2>\n

The NDEB plays a crucial role in both access to the dental profession and public safety.
