The purpose of the NDECC\u00a0<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>is to assess the clinical competence and judgment of dentists trained in non-accredited programs. The NDECC is the final step in the Equivalency Process.<\/span>\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n

Format and Content<\/h3>\n

The NDECC comprises two components. The clinical skills component assesses clinical skills and techniques relevant to current Canadian standards. The situational judgement component assesses judgement required for solving problems in work related situations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Registering for the NDECC<\/h2>\n

Once you pass the Assessment of Clinical Judgement (ACJ) you will be offered registration for the NDECC for your first attempt. If you do not accept this offer you will be eligible to register when registration opens.<\/p>\n

Register<\/h3>Log in to your NDEB online profile at 10:00 a.m. on the registration date, to register and pay for the examination.<\/p>\n

Candidates with approved proof of Canadian Citizenship or permanent residency can register at 9:00 a.m. on the scheduled registration date.<\/div><\/div><\/div>[vc_empty_space]

Keep in mind that the exam date you select is tentative, and that you will need to be flexible. The exact date of your NDECC exam will be confirmed when registration closes. Online profile update<\/h3><\/p>\n

Always keep your online profile up to date. Make sure that the language in which you wish to take the exam and your left\/right handedness is updated in your online profile. \u200b<\/p>\n

Request for time extension<\/h3>\n

Candidates have five years to successfully pass both components of the NDECC.
